Founded in 1973, Mechanical Engineering Group (MEG) is one of the leading engineering and construction firms in the MENA region. Our experienced staff provides design, engineering, procurement, construction, and specialized maintenance and refurbishment services, with a reputation for successfully delivering projects to its clients on time and within budget. Combined with its robust project management capabilities, MEG is able to provide complete solutions for today’s most challenging engineering tasks.
Most of our engineers and technicians have had numerous years of extensive training and experience in implementing our vision and have achieved a high level of proficiency in their respective areas of expertise. In the field, our welders, pipe fitters, electricians, equipment operators and project managers form part of the many teams tailored to meet the requirements of any endeavor we undertake. We are proud of our staff, and we recognize and appreciate the value that they have created and continue to provide in everything they do.

OUR HISTORY
Mr. Ajaj Abulhusn
Born in Btekhnay, Lebanon, in 1932. Graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1956, with the degree of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
Started his professional career with Industry Institute. He later joined a multinational company where he was in charge of developing the Middle East markets until 1973, when, in partnership with Mr. Youssef Matta, formed Mechanical Engineering Group.
Mr. Youssef Matta
Born in Mreijeh, Lebanon, in 1932. Graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1956, with the degree of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. He then traveled to the United States where he received the degree of Master of Science from the Univerisity of Vermont.
After returning to Lebanon, he undertook several projects in the fields of Mechanical Engineering. He also maintained several prominent civic posts, reaching to Municipal President of the township of Mreijeh, his birthplace, where he headed various development projects.
In 1973, and in partnership with Mr. Ajaj Abulhusn, he formed Mechanical Engineering Group.
